国际空间站(ISS)计划在 2030 年前后退役。退役的时候,它是会"自然"掉进大气层烧掉,
还是会有人算好轨道、主动控制着让它掉?
(在心里给一个答案,再往下看。)
卫星退役,其实是"主动选择坠落"
很多人的想象里,卫星退役是"油尽灯枯"——没人管了,慢慢掉下来烧毁。但事实正好相反:对 ISS 这种大型航天器,退役不是放手不管,而是主动算好一切,把坠落变成一件可控的事。
原因很直接:如果放任不管,它就不可控——掉在哪完全看运气。一个几百吨的物体,再入大气层解体后,残骸仍然可能落到地面。所以才有"受控再入"(controlled deorbit):先点火减速,算准落点,让残骸落到地球上离所有陆地都最远的地方——南太平洋无人区。
这延续上一篇的结论:轨道是资产,不维护就贬值。那"维护"到底在干什么?我们用 ISS 从发射到现在的真实轨道数据看一遍。
27 年的轨道维护:每年都在"掉下去,再顶起来"
空口说"轨道靠维护维持"没用。我们把 ISS 从 1998 年发射到 2026 年的轨道高度记录取了出来(数据来自 Space-Track 历史 TLE 归档——美国太空部队公开的轨道数据,免费注册后获取),每年取年内最低与最高高度:

看懂这张表,有三个关键点:
1. 每年的"低"和"高"之间,就是一个维护周期。轨道受稀薄大气拖拽会慢慢下降(低点),然后航天器点火把它顶回去(高点)。比如 2005 年,从 345 km 衰减到低谷,再被顶到 360 km——一年里来回约 14 km。1998 年的 141 km 摆动是发射后爬升阶段的特殊情况,不是维护。
2. 注意 2011 年:摆动 51 km,这不是普通维护,是主动抬升。ISS 从约 350 km 的运营轨道搬到约 400 km 的新轨道。因为轨道越高空气越稀薄、衰减越慢,长期维护成本越低——这是把"资产"搬到更省维护的位置。
3. 2012 年之后,摆动收窄到 2-10 km。ISS 稳定在约 400-420 km 的高轨道,靠每月一次小规模抬升维持。现在(2026 年)它稳定在约 420 km 附近。
一句话:这颗重达 419 吨的"资产",过去 27 年靠的就是反复"掉下去→顶起来",从没被放手过。
为什么退役必须"算准"?
既然轨道靠维护维持,退役本质上就是"停止维护"。但停止维护有两种方式:
失控(放任不管):轨道自然衰减,最终进入大气层。坏处是——坠落时间不确定、坠落点不确定。对 419 吨的 ISS 来说,任何一片残骸落在城市上空,都是灾难。
受控(主动算准):先做一次大的脱轨点火,把轨道近地点压入稠密大气,让整条轨道落入大气层;再按计算好的轨迹,让残骸溅落在南太平洋无人区——地球上离任何陆地都最远的地方(约 2,700 km),两百多艘退役航天器(含 2001 年坠落的和平号空间站)都"葬"在那里,被称为"航天器坟场"。
所以 ISS 的退役计划不是"让它自己掉",而是约 2030 年,用专门的脱轨飞行器,把它稳稳地送进南太平洋。
三个问题
1. 为什么必须受控? 因为"失控"的成本无法承担。轨道是资产,最后一程也是——算准落点,是把残骸风险压到最低。
2. 为什么选南太平洋无人区? 因为地球表面约 70% 是海洋,而这块区域离任何陆地都最远,是全世界最适合"接住"坠毁航天器的地方。这不是偶然,是算出来的。
3. 为什么是 2030 年? 不是技术极限,是资产决策。ISS 的舱段在持续老化,维持成本逐年上升;各合作方共同商定运营到 2030 年前后,把资源转向下一代空间站。这是"什么时候停止维护资产"的判断,而不是"飞不动了"。

到这里的所有数字,都不是"我们说的",而是公开数据算出来的。TLE 轨道数据来自 Space-Track 历史 TLE 归档(美国太空部队公开数据),高度用公开的天体力学公式计算。
我们把 1998-2026 年的记录做成了可复现脚本:读取冻结快照 → 从原始 TLE 重算高度 → 输出年度极值表 → 输出哈希。你(或任何 AI agent)都可以重跑核对,见附录。

脚本会做三件事:
1. 读取冻结快照(29 年 × 每年最低/最高两条原始 TLE);
2. 用长半轴-地球半径公式从每条 TLE 重算高度;
3. 输出与正文完全一致的年度极值表 + 快照 sha256。
说明:快照取自 Space-Track 历史 TLE 归档(NORAD 25544),每年选取归档高度最低/最高的两条记录;正文表格的数字由脚本从原始 TLE 重算,冻结快照可精确复现。验证层级(可复现≠可验证):原始 TLE 为 primary——美国太空部队 18 空间防御中队官方编目(Space-Track),快照内嵌每年两条原始 TLE 可逐字比对;年度极值(归档高度最低/最高记录)为脚本从快照内 TLE 重算的派生值。
高度基准:高度 = 半长轴 − 地球赤道半径(6378.137 km),本系列两篇统一用此基准。若换用地球平均半径(6371 km),所有高度整体上移约 7 km——这是参考半径的约定差异,不是数据或公式错误;文中讨论的摆动、维护周期、2011 抬升等"差值"不受影响。
